Day Trip to Catalina Island – Sunday, July 23rd, 2023

You always wanted to visit the west side of the beautiful Santa Catalina island and hike the famous Trans Catalina Trail but cannot find a camping spot or don’t like camping – this is your opportunity to explore Avalon, Little Harbor, and Two Harbors, and to hike a part of the famous TCT – all in 1 day, on July 23rd

We will sail to Catalina Island, see Avalon’s most beautiful viewpoint, visit Little Harbor and Shark Harbor (some of the best Catalina beaches),  hike one of the most scenic areas of the Trans Catalina Trail and visit Two Harbors. 

Cost:  $210

Includes:

• Ferry from San Pedro to Catalina Island and back
• All transportation on the island
• Visit Avalon, Little Harbor, Two Harbors
• Hike 7.5 miles scenic hike with 1,800 ft elevation gain
• Swim in the ocean

Does not include:

• Food and drinks. Please bring food and snacks for the hike. Food will be available for purchase throughout the day.
• Transportation to San Pedro. We would be happy to carpool from San Diego and share the gas cost.

This trip is not a commercial trip. You are joining a group of friends at your own risk. The following schedule is tentative and can be changed at any time. 

Schedule:

7:30 am – Meet at the San Pedro port, board the ferry to Avalon

9:15 am – Arrive at Avalon, tour Avalon by foot with a stop at a local coffee shop for breakfast/picnic

10:30 am – Board a transportation van. First, we will drive to a scenic viewpoint over Avalon and then will drive to Little Harbor – one of the most picturesque beaches of Catalina Island.

11:30 am – Arrival at Little Harbor. Beach picnic with an optional swim. Explore Shark Harbor.

1:00 pm – Start our beautiful hike to Two Harbors. We will pass through several scenic viewpoints on our way. 7.5 miles with 1,800 ft elevation gain (we might adjust the hike length depending on the group). 

5:30 pm – arrive at Two Harbors. Early dinner/picnic by the ocean. Optional swim and optional deep stretch class.

6:30 pm – depart the ferry from Two Harbors back to San Pedro

The approximate arrival to San Pedro is at 7:45 pm
