Big Pine Lakes Adventure – Aug 5th-7th (Sat-Mon) – Hiking Trip with Mountain Cabins Lodging!

Join us for an epic adventure in the Sierra Nevada Mountains on one of the best hiking trips in California. You’ll witness cascading waterfalls, aquamarine lakes, and scenic glaciers.

Cost: $360

Includes:

• 2 nights lodging in a mountain lodge by the trailhead, 2-3 people per room (4-5 people per cabin)
• All meals: 2 dinners, 2 breakfasts, and sandwiches for the hike
• Hike to Big Pine Lakes (between 9 to 14 miles)
• 2 additional optional hikes
• Optional yoga class
• Guide & Group equipment

Does Not Include:

• Transportation. We can help arrange a carpool from San Diego.

Schedule:

• This is not a commercial trip. You are joining a group of friends at your own risk. The following schedule is tentative and subject to change at any time.

Saturday

• Drive from San Diego to the Bishop area (6 hours drive).
• 2 pm: Meet at Little Lakes Valley trailhead for a picnic lunch and an optional warm-up hike to Long Lake (Total distance 6 miles, 700 ft elevation gain). (The hike is optional; we might switch to another hike depending on weather/condition/group)
• 6:30 pm: Meet at the lodge located at Big Pine Lakes trailhead. Check into our cabins, have dinner, get to know each other, and enjoy the amazing Sierra night sky. Night at the lodge, 2-3 people per room, 4-6 people per cabin.

Sunday

• 6 am: Start the day with a light breakfast and begin our hike to California’s most beautiful destination – Big Pine Lakes. We’ll encounter amazing views, lakes, and waterfalls. The hike will cover between 9-15 miles (depending on the group) and feature an elevation gain of up to 3,600 ft. It will take between 8-12 hours. We’ll stop for lunch at one of the lakes with an optional swim in the beautiful turquoise water!
• 7 pm: Return to the lodge to rest, have dinner, and enjoy the night.

Monday

• 7 am: Start the morning with an optional yoga practice and breakfast.
• 9 am: After departure, we’ll drive through the famous Alabama Hills with an optional 0.8-mile hike to Mobius Arch.
• Optional: Visit the Museum of Western Film History in Lone Pine.
• 11 am: Drive back home.
