Join us to explore Sierra’s pinnacles and alpine lakes and camp under mountain stars.
This trip is not a commercial trip. You are joining a group of friends at your own risk. The following schedule is tentative and can be changed at any time:
Friday
2:30pm Optional hike – details TBD
6pm Meet at the campground, set up camp
7pm Dinner, campfire, getting to know each other, admiring amazing Sierra sky
Saturday
6am breakfast
7am start the hike to Bishop Lake and Bishop Pass
We will hike all the way to Bishop Pass. Not only we will see amazing lakes and pinnacles, but we will also enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view into the basin once we reach the pass at 11,972 ft altitude.
We will stop for a picnic lunch at Bishop Lake.
Total 12 miles, 3000 ft elevation gain. Option to go down to Dusty Basin (extra 4 miles and 500 ft elevation gain)
7pm dinner and campfire
Sunday, June 26th
8am We will start with an optional yoga class to stretch and rejuvenate. We will have a breakfast and take down the camp.
10am Optional drive via scenic Alabama Hills and hike Mobius Arch Loop (0.7 mile) on the way back.

Does Not Include: Transportation (you can carpool with us and share gas), personal equipment (please let us know if you are interested to rent anything)
Personal Equipment to bring:
- Tent, sleeping bag, pillow, sleeping pad or mattress
- Headlight
- Day backpack
- Water bladder or reusable water bottles
- Hiking shoes
- Trekking Poles (optional)
- Sun hat
- Sunscreen
- Picnic chair (optional)
- Clothes for 3 days (layers are recommended as it could be hot during the day and cold during the night)
- Personal hygiene items & towel
- Favorite snacks for the long hike
