Trip Itinerary: August 4th-5th, 2024
Sunday, August 4th
9:00 AM: Drive to Ventura (lunch on the way)
1:30 PM: Meet at Island Packers Cruises in Ventura
2:00 PM: Departure to Scorpion Cove, Santa Cruz Island
3:30 PM: Approximate arrival at Scorpion Cove
4:00 PM: Arrival at the campsite and setting up camp
5:30 PM: Dinner
6:30 PM: Sunset hike to beautiful Cavern Point (2 miles)
8:00 PM: Tea, cake, and star gazing
9:00 PM: Time to rest
Monday, August 5th
5:00 AM: Wake up, breakfast, pack up camp
6:30 AM: Hike to Montanon Peak (the tallest mountain on the island) and to spectacular Potato Harbor (9-10 miles hike with 2,500 ft elevation gain)
2:00 PM: Return to Scorpion Cove for lunch, swim, yoga, and rest
4:00 PM: Departure to Ventura
5:30 PM: Drive back to San Diego, estimated arrival 9:30-10:00 PM
